Stargate: Every Series And Movie Ranked Worst To Best
7. Stargate Atlantis: Season 5
The final season of Stargate Atlantis wasn't meant to be the last season, but serves to attempt to wrap up as many plot lines as it could. The criminally underused Richard Woolsey becomes the head of the station, adding a layer of straight humour to the mix that the previous cast groups had lacked.
This season saw the last of the Replicators with 'Ghost In The Machine' and the last of Michael in 'The Prodigal Son' as well as propping us numerous great standalone episodes like 'The Daedalus Variations', 'The Shrine', 'Tracker' and 'Whispers'. The central two-parter 'First Contact' and 'The Lost Tribe' brought a new villainous face to an old favourite race and left it hanging, but not in a way that demanded a follow up.
In the end, the final episode felt a little rushed as they weren't expecting the series to end at this point, but the final battle above Earth showed the show's full potential and the closing shot of the Golden Gate Bridge was a decent send-off. Shame that the movie got cancelled.
