Stargate: Every Series And Movie Ranked Worst To Best

6. Stargate The Ark Of Truth

The Ark of Truth was the first straight-to-DVD movie to wrap up the plotlines left behind by the end of Stargate SG-1's 10th season and it was big, bright, flashy, had Currie Graham in it and was really quite fun. Only one stand-out moment of questionable continuity, when Teal'c has to cross an entire mountain range and the plains of Celestis with a blast-wound in his back and this seemingly happens in the time that it takes Carter to do a systems diagnostic up on the Odyssey.

Nevertheless, the film ends the Ori storyline on a high-note, even though Morena Baccarin was only available for one day of filming, her appearance almost steals the show and the threat ramps up brilliantly throughout the story.

Of particular note, possible the best scene in the entire franchise, is in the Odyssey canteen when Teal'c sits with Tomin, a former commander amongst the Ori soldiery and explains to him that redemption, true redemption, will always be out of their reach. A true masterclass of character writing and excellently performed.

And all the flamey special effects aren't bad either.

Still bitter that Star Trek Enterprise got canned and almost old enough to angrily tell the kids to 'Get Off My Lawn!'
