Stargate: Every Series And Movie Ranked Worst To Best
4. Stargate Atlantis: Season 4
Easily the best season of Atlantis from it's opening continuation of 'First Strike', right the way through to it's bizarre time-travel quasi-epilogue close in 'The Last Man', the majority of this season set out to be epic and it achieved. The middle of the season includes a trilogy of episodes that feature the second grandest space battle of the franchise in 'Be All My Sins Remember'd'.
After the departure of Torri Higginson's Dr. Elizabeth Weir, SG-1's Colonel Samantha Carter was posted to take over and this led to a passing of the torch from the recently concluded SG-1 over to Atlantis properly. The episode 'Midway' also squares Ronon Dex against Teal'c and the SGC against the Wraith, with pleasing results.
This season also allowed for some touching personal and lighter episodes, like 'Quarantine', 'Trio' and 'Tabula Rasa', all of which were centred around isolation of some sort. All in all, this season managed to showcase the potential that the entire show had been building towards, while still leaving the audience wanting more.
