Stargate: Every System Lord Ranked Worst To Best

5. Ra

Ra was the first System Lord that the people of Earth encountered in living memory, taking the host of a young boy. He is supremely evil, ruling over the other System Lords for a time, with all but the strongest of them bowing to his will.

He used Abydos as a supply base, with one of his visits coinciding with the reopening of the Earth Stargate. Though he had the advantage of far more advanced technology on his side, the team from Earth managed to encourage the Abydonians to rise up against him, overpowering his Jaffa and forcing him to begin to withdraw.

However, he would attempt to leave a nasty surprise behind.

The team from Earth brought a nuclear bomb, only to be used in the case of discovering a threat that must be destroyed. Ra took this bomb and supercharged it with the mineral mined from the planet (mostly this was Naquadah). His plan was, first, to send it back through the gate and obliterate Earth. Failing that, he planned to send it to Abydos and wreak his vengeance on them.

This quite literally blew up in his face, as O'Neill and Daniel Jackson used the rings to send it up into orbit. The bomb detonated and Ra, once the grand ruler of all, disintegrated with a nuclear charge at point blank range.
