Steven Moffat's 10 Greatest Additions To Doctor Who
1. Captain Jack Harkness
Jack Harkness, a lovable, flirtatious, rogue Time Agent, was Steven Moffat's first and arguably most popular addition to the Doctor Who revival.
After being revived and accidentally made immortal by the 'Bad Wolf' Rose Tyler in Doctor Who's series 1 finale, 'The Parting Of The Ways', Captain Jack was soon to become the face of his own spin-off as the head of 'Torchwood'. A slightly more adult series.
Torchwood featured Jack as the leader of Torchwood Three, a rogue agency investigating alien activity in Cardiff. Fans have been clamouring for more of Jack since Torchwood ended, with a cameo from the character in 'Fugitive Of The Judoon' proving a highlight of Doctor Who's recent twelfth series.
Able to flirt with just about anyone or anything without shame, Jack Harkness quickly became an icon of the LGBT community as well as one of the great sci-fi heroes of this generation. He will be remembered not just as a great Steven Moffat creation, but one of the best new characters in NuWho overall.
