Stranger Things Season 2: 13 Big Questions We Need Answering

12. How Will The New Characters Fit In?

While nostalgia certainly played its part, all those 80s movie references would've worn thin had Stranger Things not had such a great cast. Thankfully they managed to find the sort of kids Spielberg himself may have cast had they been around during that decade, and the chemistry and friendship between them was something that really helped hold the show together.

In Season 2, however, we're going to be getting a few new characters, and it'll be interesting to see just how they fit in, although it's not known yet whether they're adults or kids (or a mix). Could any of the episode titles be referring to a new character? Will there be new friends for the kids, adults drawn into the ever-spinning web, or agents behind it all? It's good that they're not going down the anthology route, since these characters became such an intrinsic part of the show, but it's not clear how the newbies will impact things.
