Stranger Things Season 3 Trailer Reactions: 8 Ups & 2 Downs
7. The Fresh Summertime Setting
Easily the most distinctive aspect of the trailer is the summertime setting, taking place as it does on the week of July 4th.
The overwhelming majority of the trailer focuses on all the sunny imagery you'd expect, with the swimming pool, mall, and carnival settings likely complementing the coming-of-age vibe perfectly.
While Season 2 felt more like a simple continuation of the first, this new look feels distinct and provides convincing proof that Season 3 won't merely be more of the same.
More than anything, it looks incredibly fun, and though the grim sci-fi shenanigans will surely abound, fingers are crossed it might turn out a little less dour than the previous season.
And of course, Season 3 is also releasing on July 4th, ensuring its bright setting should (hopefully) accompany a sunny real-world complexion.
