Supergirl Season 4: 6 Ups & 3 Downs From ‘Red Dawn’

2. Alex Remembers

Supergirl Alex Danvers Kara
The CW

Let's be honest, Alex's inability to remember Kara's life as Supergirl wore thin pretty quickly.

Originally orchestrated by Alex herself, the D.E.O. Director had J'onn wipe Kara's alien origins from her mind in a bid to protect her from Colonel Haley and, by extension, Agent Liberty. But since then, her lack of knowledge regarding her sister's super activities hasn't added anything of value to the plot and, if anything, has hindered the show by taking away one of its strongest aspects.

With that in mind, it was incredibly fulfilling to see Alex finally remember all that she and Kara had been through together as, thanks to a powerful and moving montage that revisited some of their best moments, her memories came flooding back to her.

The relationship between the Danvers sisters is one of the foundations on which Supergirl was built, so it's good to know that it will no longer be limited by a storyline that had begun to wear out its welcome.
