Supernatural: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best
4. Season Two
Maintaining the simplicity found in the first season, season two follows Sam and Dean as they hunt Azazel after the death of their father. The season signals the first time either of the brothers die (a recurring theme in the rest of the show), and allows fans to fall in love with good ol' Bobby, the brothers' soon-to-be surrogate father.
Unlike season one, the storytelling here is much sharper and more refined, showing the writers were ready to really go all-out with the world they had created. With improved stand-alone adventures, a more in-depth look at the show's first Big Bad, and a thrilling, game-changing finale, season two promised that Supernatural was a show destined to only get bigger.
Though it would still be a couple of years before the show really found its voice, season two was the true beginnings of what the series would become.
