Supernatural: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best

14. Season Seven

Supernatural finale
The CW

Season seven got off to a blistering start, promising some big storylines for the brothers and a season bursting with added threat and exciting possibilities. But after only two episodes, it became clear that the hype wasn't going to last, and the momentum was lost.

Though Sam and Dean taking on the Leviathans, God's earliest creations, seemed seriously cool on paper, the ancient monsters ended up leaving little to be desired, with an evil plan that was as convoluted as it was uninspired.

Then, of course, there was the death of Bobby, one of the show's most beloved characters and father figure to both Sam and Dean. Whilst killing the poor guy off could have been a good move, the season didn't spend nearly enough time mourning him, and the whole thing gets swept under the rug rather quickly.

The silver lining to all this was the introduction of another fan favourite character, the moral and lovable Charlie. Despite this, though, season seven really leaves a sour taste in the mouth.
