8. Dark Side of the Moon- Season 5, Episode 16
Sam and Dean are killed by rogue hunters. When they awaken they find themselves in Heaven. They must escape before the angels find them for and use them for their plan. But before they escape, they must find God for help. One of the most depressing episodes of the series and that's saying something. Jensen steals the show with his acting. In the opening, Sam is killed and the expression on Dean's face and emotion in his eyes tell a story. Then when Dean is killed we finally get to see the show's version of Heaven. Everyone gets their own piece of Heaven and fill it with their favorite memories. You can share Heaven with someone else if you are soul mates. Some souls can sneak over into someone else's Heaven. Dean's memories consist mostly of when his mom was alive. One time his parents got into a big fight on the phone and when his dad hung up Dean went over to his mom, gave her a hug, and told her that dad still loves her. You can see the pain on Sam's face when he sees that. He never had a mom to love him. Dean knows what motherly love feels like. He also remembers when he took Sam to shoot fireworks. Sam's memories are vastly different from Deans. Sam's favorite memories do not consist of his family at all. Instead, his favorite memories are when he was away from his family. Dean realizes this and hurts his feelings. In the end, they are brought back to life and find out God doesn't care about humanity anymore.
