Teen Titans Revival: 10 Reasons It Will Be Better Than Titans
5. The Door Is Open For Slade To Return
If you were to make a list of all the things that made the original Teen Titans series so great, Slade (better known to DC fans as Deathstroke) would easily be near the very top.
Voiced by Ron Perlman, Slade was a fantastic, ruthless villain who took the team to their limit on more than one occasion. In fact, Slade is arguably one of the single best villains to ever appear in a DC television series, putting even Arrow's take on Deathstroke to shame.
Slade was Teen Titans' main antagonist throughout seasons one and two, made one impactful appearance in season three, then came back with a vengeance in season four. His absence in season five seemed to imply that his story had concluded, but he returned yet again in Things Change, the aforementioned finale.
This seemed to hint at Slade playing a significant role in a prospective sixth season. And the idea of him once again clashing with the team now that they're more skilled than ever before is certainly one way to help sell viewers on the revival.
Titans even trying to top the impact Slade has made (and might continue to make) is honestly kind of a fool's errand, especially considering that the Acolyte, of all characters, will be the first season's big bad.
