The Apprentice: 5 Reasons Why We Love It

4. The Tasks

TheApprenticeTask From Apollo and Synergy, Venture and Logic, Sterling and Phoenix to this year's Evolve and Endeavour, the two teams on The Apprentice have had some pretty noteworthy names over the years as they go head-to-head in a series of tasks designed to see who has what it takes and who's going home in a taxi. One of the show's main underlying themes since its conception has been the tasks, where contestants desperately try to seek Sir Alan's approval by getting the most sales and, crucially, making the most money. In series 9, we've had some pretty entertaining tasks, from inventing a new flavoured beer to designing flatpack furniture to sell in Argos, and they don't always run smoothly, particularly for the girls' team who have yet to win a single task. Team Evolve had a nightmare in the Beer episode when they made their beverages too strong and wasted numerous kegs of beer in the process, and though it may sound mean, we do enjoy laughing along at their failures when we realise they have neither the energy of a Duracell bunny nor the brain of Einstein after all.
