The Big Bang Theory: 10 Best Wil Wheaton Episodes

9. "The D & D Vortex"

Wheaton Big Bang Theory
CBS

Wil Wheaton's love for the nerdiest of nerdy games, Dungeons & Dragons, is well known, so he was perfect for "The D & D Vortex." In the episode, Sheldon learns that Wil hosts a regular D&D game featuring celebrities. His regulars include William Shatner, Joe Manganiello, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Kevin Smith.

Sheldon learns all about it after a vomiting incident with Shatner (He puked all over him, of course). When he arrives at Wil's house to apologize, he sees everyone playing D&D, including Stuart. Wil denies that he saw what he thought he saw, but that doesn't work.

After some pressure on Stuart, he quits the game, leaving an open seat coveted by everyone, though it ultimately goes to Leonard. Things devolve from there when Penny, Amy, and Bernadette learn that Joe Manganiello was there, though they refer to him as "Magic Max," and invite themselves to the next game.

The final scene shows the celebrities (and adoring fans) playing D&D, but it's mostly just the women fawning over "Magic Max" and the rest of the celebs. The episode ends with a group shot of the ladies and celebs, which they send to the guys.
