The Big Bang Theory: 10 Best Wil Wheaton Episodes
5. "The Indecision Amalgamation"
Wil's part in "The Indecision Amalgamation" wasn't one of his longest contributions to the series in terms of screentime, but it was nonetheless important. In the episode, Penny spends a great deal of time deciding if she should accept Serial Ape-ist 2: Monkey See, Monkey Kill.
Her dream was to become an actress, but it's not a job she's especially excited about, and the title doesn't help. Still, it's an acting gig, so she decides the best thing to do is talk to a professional actor and get their advice. Fortunately, she's friends with Wil Wheaton.
She, Leonard, and Wil get coffee together, and she asks him about taking the job, so he recounts that he's taken some jobs he might call embarrassing. After a joke about how she didn't think Star Trek was all that bad, he explains that after Stand By Me, he took on some bad jobs.
This leads him to look off in the distance, clearly depressed about his past. Eventually, she decides to take the job despite the way Wil recalled his past experiences. When she arrives on the set, she's surprised to see Wil on the set, having also agreed to take the job.
