Wheaton's third appearance on the series came in "The 21-Second Excitation," when he and Sheldon were still one another's nemesis. The episode centers around Sheldon, Leonard, Howard, and Raj's excitement about attending a screening of Raiders of the Lost Ark with 21 seconds of never-before-seen footage.

Everyone gets to the theater a bit later than Sheldon would have liked, leaving them to stand in an incredibly long line. Wheaton walks right up to the front of the line, and when Sheldon sees "the Jar-Jar Binks of the Star Trek universe," he's none too happy.

This is made worse when the bouncer recognizes him and immediately lets Wil and his friends (from the comic book store) into the theater. Soon after, Sheldon reads a Tweet from Wheaton, saying, "Best seats in the house for "Raiders" screening. Suck on that, Sheldon Cooper."

Eventually, the line is cut right before the guys, but Sheldon sees an open door and steals the print of the movie, saying, "If I can't see it, no one else can see it!" Seeing this, Wheaton leads a mob of moviegoers after Sheldon in a manner reminiscent of Indiana Jones' race to the pontoon plane — with appropriate music, of course.
