6. Penny Lands A Movie Role (But Doesn't Go For It)
The story behind Penny throughout the entirety of The Big Bang Theory has been that of a failing actress from Nebraska working at the Cheesecake Factory to make ends meet. She had appeared in some abysmal films and done a few modelling jobs here and there, but she just wasn't succeeding in the film industry.
As of season eight, Penny has been a sales representative in the pharmaceutical business. In doing so, she gave up her passion of making it as an actress. When someone sets their mind to achieving something, does it ever really go away?
The second half of season 12 needs to have Penny land a major role in a movie, be it a major production or an indie film. That doesn't exactly mean she has to accept the role though. If Penny was willing to give up her career (if you'll call it that) in the first place, it sounds like she doesn't have the same passion for acting that she first had.
In reality, it would be a bit of a step backwards for Penny's character. She's successful in her current job. Why go down a route where she may end up failing?
