10. There's Nowhere Left For Him To Go

It might just be too dangerous to adjust Sheldon€™s journey as a character because his current state, for all its faults, is undoubtedly the one thing people think about when they watch The Big Bang Theory. Sheldon is its guiding light, its mascot, its hero. We€™ve seen Howard get married, Leonard and Penny announce their own nuptials, and Raj becoming confident enough to speak to women without alcohol. But Sheldon? The occasional closeness in his relationship with Amy is the most you tend to get from him. His recent mid-life crisis was a definite point of interest, but you can imagine fans tearing their hair out as it took seven seasons for Sheldon to reach this epiphany. As sitcoms go, ten seasons would round the show off nicely, but this results in Sheldon not having a huge amount of time to develop at a satisfactory level. Either way, it's a lose-lose situation.
