6. The Show Is Becoming Dull

Maybe The Big Bang Theory is too connected with How I Met Your Mother (at least in the U.K. where both shows would often be broadcast in the same block) but the show itself has no definite goal it€™s driving towards. Apart from Leonard and Penny getting hitched, Howard and Bernadette having children (perhaps?) and Sheldon and Raj doing, well, whatever, there are times when you may as well be watching paint dry. Really though, Penny€™s career change from actress to pharmaceutical rep has been the most exciting development the show has had in recent times. The above situations for the two couples has them quietening down into family routines, which does suggest things are starting to wind down for the show. Could it take an event such as the death of Sheldon to bring some drama to the show?
