The Big Bang Theory: 10 Reasons Sheldon Cooper Should Be Killed Off

3. His Excruciating Childlike Tendencies

Sheldon€™s mix of immense genius is oddly mixed in with those childlike tendencies he possesses. These aren€™t necessarily his obsessions with all things pop culture (comics, models, action figures), but rather how his general attitude can devolve suddenly to that of a child. Just look at The Spaghetti Catalyst, where the central trio turn into a surrogate family when Penny takes Sheldon to Disneyland. Are these tendencies really here just to balance out the remainder of his sociopathic and egotistical personality? If so, they don€™t really offer any positive alternative to his regular persona, and suggest even more that Sheldon is a character simply stuck with nowhere to go. There is some endearment to these traits, but ultimately they bog the character down, and leave him even more at the mercy of the haters.
