The Boys: 10 Goriest Moments So Far

After the absolute carnage of season one, viewers knew that the second season would need to work hard to outdo itself, and it's safe to say that this abhorrently disgusting scene certainly did that. While animal carnage was something viewers had seen before - namely that poor dolphin - this was a level of gore and animal abuse that no viewer could have ever predicted.

During a mission, The Boys travel on a boat and come under aquatic fire from The Deep. In response to this, they jump onto a speedboat and attempt to outmanoeuvre him. However, he gets out in front of them on a whale and attempts to block their path.

But, the ruthless Billy Butcher won't be stopped by that, as he rams the boat into the whale, impaling it and proving that sea creatures should stay away from The Deep, lest their lives end tragically. As if seeing a whale impaled by a speedboat wasn't enough, viewers are then treated to the interior of the beast, as Hughie camps inside and Mother's Milk sits beside him, all while a massive whale heart hangs next to them.

The scene is monstrously grotesque and quite easily the goriest moment in the entire show. This series' writers will need to think of something truly diabolical to top it in season three, but no doubt they will.
