6. Mesmer Gets His Face Smashed In
Billy Butcher might seem to be fighting on the side of good at first, but it became clear not too long into the inaugural season that he's not the hero you might expect him to be. One of the clearest examples of this had to be the brutal way that he executed Mesmer, as it was horrifying, gory and utterly incredible.
Mesmer may have been a troublesome character in The Boys, but did he deserve such a brutal death? After helping The Boys discover the Female's identity and learning of their super-terrorist creation scheme, he ended up betraying the group to Homelander. In response to this, Billy Butcher tracked him down and began to beat the living hell out of him.
After attaining some of his memories through physical contact, Mesmer tried to bargain with Butcher, but this only angered him further, so he grabbed the has-been hero and smashed his face into a sink until it was a bloody pulp.
The gruesome nature of his death was bad enough, but Mesmer's desperate pleas and fear made this scene even worse. Still, if you mess with Billy, you're going to see red.
