As if seeing Homelander abandon a whole plane full of innocents as it crashed into the sea wasn't bad enough, this scene took it a step further by showing viewers what it would be like if the powerful monster took out his aggression onto a large crowd.

Season two was a very turbulent time for Homelander, as a video surfaced of him killing an innocent civilian during a battle with a terrorist. When a crowd of outraged citizens call for his removal from the US army and criticise him, he lashes out, and viewers are treated to an even harsher display of his laser eyes.

He looks across the wide array of people and slaughters them all, cutting people's bodies in half and showing no mercy. The shot then cuts to an image of his victims as they lie across the ground, lifeless and wretchedly covered in blood.

Thankfully none of this actually happened. As it turns out, it was just a figment of the supposed hero's imagination. Despite this, it was still thoroughly disturbing and gave viewers a real eye into the level of madness that was bubbling under Homelander's surface.
