The Boys: 10 Goriest Moments So Far

Even after two seasons, this death is still the most ridiculous in the series and acts as an absolute signifier of the levels of absurdity that The Boys is capable of. It's equal parts horrifying, hilarious and disgusting, and was used as a prime piece of marketing to lure gore-obsessed viewers to the series.

The scene in question followed the former superhero star after she attempted to trade sexual favours with her unwitting landlord to let her off her rent. However, much to his misfortune, she had taken compound V before straddling his face, causing her to get a little overzealous, eventually crushing his skull underneath her weight.

Although this had been clearly shown in the red band trailer for the series, it still came as a huge shock, especially as the gruesome detail shown on his collapsed head was realised with such grotesque effects. The gore is incredibly blink and you'll miss it, as the majority of the shot is centred on Popclaw, but it's certainly there, and it is bloody.

This poor landlord's demise is a horrible tragedy, but one that many viewers found it a little tricky not to giggle at.
