The Boys: 10 Things Only True Fans Know About Homelander

9. His X-Ray Vision Doesn't Always Work

Homelander has many powers including superstrength, super-durability, superspeed, enhanced senses, and flight. But one thing you can't underestimate about Homelander is the power behind his eyes.

By concentrating, he can disperse a heat beam from his eyeballs that can cut through a skyscraper like it's made of butter. He can also adjust his eyes telescopically to see people and objects with ease, even if they're miles away. Not only that, he has microscopic vision that allows him to see things on a cellular level.

He can also see through solid matter, using his x-ray vision. However, Homelander is unable to see through any material lined with zinc (which is a reference to how Superman can't see through lead). This may not seem like a massive vulnerability but it can be used against him.

After Wee Hughie killed Homelander's teammate, Translucent, The Boys sent his remains to The Seven's HQ in a box composed of zinc. When Homlander noticed he couldn't see into the box without opening it, he realised that his vulnerability could be used to hide vital information from him.
