2. Maeve's Eye
Ever since the fateful Flight 37 back in season one, the moment Maeve’s unquestioning loyalty towards Homelander was strongly questioned, she tried to distance herself from him as much as possible. He was dangerous, he threatened her life and the lives of those she loved, and ultimately she snapped.
After standing up to him and subsequently being held prisoner, with Homelander planning to harvest her eggs before killing her, Maeve and her former boyfriend came to blows.
They fought in Vought Tower, with both getting their fair share of shots in. Maeve was visibly pleased with herself when she made Homelander bleed, and she managed to literally stab his brain through his ear, but Homelander arguably finished with the upper hand. Anyone who watched Game of Thrones had PTSD flashbacks to the Mountain Vs. the Viper.
He could have done anything to Maeve, but he chose to slowly and painfully dig his thumb into her eye socket, not relenting even through the blood pouring down her face. She fought on with just one eye and a lot of blood loss, and it was incredibly tough to watch.
