Over the Hill features more tension between Butcher and Hughie, and sees Stormfront's true nature begin to slide into view when she massacres a community of African-Americans and kills Kimiko's brother in cold blood. Oh, and Lucy the Whale gets violently impaled by Butcher's stolen yacht, which only gets more grisly when Hughie decides to stay in the dead mammal and seems to give up fighting.

Over the Hill with the Swords of a Thousand Men has more main characters turn up in one place than ever, too, meaning there are some startling revelations and great character interactions. Homelander learns about A-Train's heart condition, Starlight is pushed to kill Hughie, and Butcher risks losing his target to save Hughie at the last second. It's violent, bloody, shocking and cruel, and it's easily one of the show's best misadventures.
