The Boys: Ranking All The Main Characters Worst To Best
1. Homelander
In the end, no character on the show is as compelling and excellent conceived as Homelander. The leader of the Seven and the most popular and powerful superhero in the world, Homelander revels in the power he holds over people, and in the public eye seems to genuinely like being the good guy. But a good guy at heart he is not.
Incredibly dangerous, violent, sadistic and unpredictable, he is the evilest of the main characters, a dark personality whose psyche has only broken more and more as the show has gone on. From his twisted, Freudian relationship with Madelyn Stillwell to the fear tactics he employs to make his allies bow down to his every whim, Homelander is never comfortable to watch, but is always the most complex and magnetic personality around.
As the show approaches its third season, Homelander has slipped further and further to outright madness, and seems ready to blow at any moment. A sadistic man-child angry at the world, he is impossible to sympathise with, but easy to be drawn to. The best character on the show, here's to hoping season three is his best chapter yet.
