1. The Exploits Of Homelander & Doppelganger
Confusion reigned towards the beginning of season two when Homelander was seen talking to Madelyn Stillwell, the woman whose head he had melted at the back end of season one. She was dressed in lingerie and feeding the supe more of his favourite drink, like absolutely nothing had happened.
This made more sense when his guest was revealed to be Doppelganger, the man who had used his transforming ability to Stillwell's gain in season one. Clearly Homelander had demanded his fellow supe take the form of his former boss, but this didn't satisfy his needs for long.
If there was one person that the leader of the Seven loved and admired more than Madelyn it was himself, something that Doppelganger knew and tried to do for him. We've seen many, many weird things throughout the history of this show, but Homelander having a sexual encounter with himself is up there with the most bizarre.
Unsatisfied, Homelander chose to kill the man who had taken his own form, snapping his neck in what was the most brutal deaths of the season at that point.
