5. Starlight Comes Clean
Ever since Starlight witnessed Homelander's true colours, she's tried to expose him for the monster that he is. But when Homelander warned her he would go "scorched Earth" if his reputation was jeopardised, the light-controlling superheroine's realised she didn't have as much leverage as she assumed.
Believing Starlight no longer posed a threat, the star-spangled superhero deliberately antagonised her, pretended they were a couple to boost his ratings, and murdered her friend, Super Sonic.
But when Homelander caused the deaths of dozens of Supes, Starlight promised to no longer stay silent. Then and there, she posted a live video, divulging all the atrocities Homelander had committed.
Unsurprisingly, this video didn't have the intended effect since Vought's CEO, Ashley Barrett, claimed Starlight's accusations were baseless. For a time, it looked like The Seven's leader would get away with his crimes yet again.
But when Starlight secretly made a live video of Homelander while he threatened Hughie's life, 190 million of her followers saw his true self. Even though there will always be fans who support Homelander, regardless of his corruption, there's no question he'll never be perceived as a squeaky-clean, too-good-to-be-true messiah ever again.
