The Boys Season 3: 10 Reasons To Be Excited
8. This Isn't The Last We've Seen Of Ryan
It would be naive to think Ryan getting into the back of a CIA car was the last we ever saw of the first natural-born Supe. As the son of a Supe, and Homelander no less, his very existence is a Chekov's Gun that is certain to go off at some point in the series.
If we are to assume he shares his father's powers (maybe even more powerful given the damage he did to Stormfront), could he be the one strong enough to put Homelander down for good?
This is a huge diversion from the comics - as the character who can take on Homelander has already been established in the series. But with show's writers taking a different approach with the very existence of Ryan, there is hope the show could go the way of The Walking Dead and carve out its own identity from the source material.
From a narrative perspective, Homelander and Vought (especially Stan Edgar) aren't going to let Ryan slip away so easily, and with Vic Neuman hell-bent on taking down Vought (and with Mallory by her side), it won't be long before the Congresswoman learns about Ryan too.
The show isn't done with Ryan, mark my words.
