3. Homelander's Less Than Savory Snack
As you would have most likely learnt by now, Homelander is far from the hero Vought America likes to advertise him as. From crushing a man's head while making out with Stormfront to outing Queen Maeve's sexual preferences for his own gain, there's no question that Homelander is a less than standup guy. But what came as a surprise in the comic-verse was Homelander's own reaction to some of the things he had done, convincing readers that he was not always in control of his own actions.
In a shocking scene that makes this quite evident, Homelander is sent a number of photographs which consist of him doing some despicable things with a huge smile on his face. And although this includes the crushing of an innocent woman's throat to the dismantling of another man piece-by-piece, it's the very first picture that will really make your stomach turn inside out.
In this photograph Homelander can be seen taking a monstrous bite out of the belly of a screaming baby, who appears to be wriggling around in pain with its intestines hanging out. Clearly disgusted by what he has done, Homelander falls deeper and deeper into madness bringing an eventual end to his leadership of The Seven.
