8. Aisha Tyler
Who says the new Daily Show host has to be a dude, though? In fact, it would be kind of refreshing for Comedy Central's longest-running series (besides South Park) to be fronted by a woman. Plus it would be an excuse to get Aisha Tyler's actual face back on screens, rather than just her voice as the eternally put-upon/yelled-at Lana in Archer. Before that, most international viewers probably knew Tyler best as Charlie, the hot palaeontologist from Friends. Which is doing her something of a disservice, because she a crazy-talented comedy performer who's especially gifted in the realm of improv. She's even the current host of Whose Line Is It Anyway? Which means that again, her workload isn't so heavy that she could easily well, maybe not easily find the time to host The Daily Show. She's also a known star, a razor-sharp whip, and probably even better at the ad-libbing than even Stewart. Which is saying something..
