9. Nuke - Jessica Jones

Despite him appearing to be a good guy for most of Jessica Jones, Officer Simpson ended the show's first season on the path to becoming Marvel and Daredevil supervillain Nuke. In the comics, Frank Simpson was a failed candidate from the same Weapons Plus programme that produced Captain America who balanced his patriotism with serious mental instability.

His shtick involved taking coloured pills to produce different effects (red, for increased adrenaline; blue to bring him down; and white, to level him out between missions), on top of having two hearts and a US flag tattooed on his face. Aside from the tattoo, the show's version of Simpson has all of that, including the hearts.

When Dr Koslov gives him the colour coded pills the dialogue is also ripped right out of the comic...

Let's hope we get to see him again.
