3. Daredevil Season 2 Is Daredevil Vs. Punisher (With Some Elektra)
With The Kingpin currently behind bars (though he is still expected to play a role in the series), two of the biggest new threats to Daredevil in Season 2 will be Elektra and The Punisher. Unfortunately, there's still no word on Bullseye despite rumours that Jason Statham was in talks at one point. Those two may be more than enough for The Man Without Fear though, as Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada teased the "absolutely epic" scenes between Daredevil and The Punisher while talking at this year's Comic-Con. One of the show's producers has even been quoted as referring to Season 2 as "Daredevil vs. Punisher", hardly a surprise considering the fact that the logo for the series depict 'ol Hornhead's classic logo riddled with bullet holes! Netflix's COO has even teased The Punisher's appearance here is leading to a spinoff for the vigilante, but that will likely depend on how well Marvel manages to redeem him after his disastrous big screen outings. Little is known about Elektra (though we do know that she and Matt had a relationship in college thanks to one of the first season's cleverest Easter Eggs), but Elodie Yung's martial arts background has been referenced a lot in interviews, so don't expect the show to take its time introducing the character as as assassin. She's been described so far only as a, "mysterious woman from Matt Murdocks past whose dangerous and exotic ways may be more than he can handle." If Marvel and Netflix are still taking cues from Frank Miller's Daredevil run, chances are she'll be sent after the Man Without Fear by a vengeful Wilson Fisk!
