The Expanse: Ranking The Main Characters From Worst To Best

At times, it felt like Amos was going in a different direction to where he ended up. With a moral paragon like Jim Holden aboard the Rocinante, it seemed like a clash between him and the more pragmatic realist that was Amos would be inevitable. With Holden threatening to kill him on one occasion, that could very well have been the fate for Amos.

A borderline sociopath at times, Amos has a burning rage inside him that he cannot always control, he has no issue with killing and happens to be very adept at it. The one thing that stops Amos from turning more villainous is his dedicated support to his family on the Roci. He grows close to Holden and Alex and already has an established friendship with Naomi and if the situation called for it, he would die for any one of them.

Amos is very matter-of-fact. He will say things how they are with no real care as to how they'll be received in a social situation. He doesn't have a mind for the great quandaries of the political sphere in which the other characters operate, he simply does as he is ordered to do and tries to have fun as he does it.

He is unquestionably one of the most enjoyable characters on the show and is given the best action sequences to partake in. Despite the enthralling political story of the Expanse, it is one single minded mechanic that stands above the rest.
