17. Sadavir Errinwright
The Undersecretary of the United Nations and a secret advocate for an Earth/Mars war, Sadavir conspired with Jules-Pierre Mao with the goal of weaponizing the Protomolecule for Earth. At one point a close friend of Chrisjen Avasarala, Sadavir felt he put his planet before his people in escalating the conflict with Mars.
Sadavir wasn't a selfish man, he didn't want power for himself, he genuinely believed that the Protomolecule was the only way to sufficiently defend Earth from a military power like Mars. Unfortunately, this led him down a short sighted and dangerous path that could have resulted in the end of the human race.
Despite being a clear antagonist for three seasons of the Expanse, his downfall came rather suddenly and with little fanfare. After his confession to Avasarala is leaked to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Sadavir is promptly arrested and imprisoned marking the end of his time on the show.
