The Expanse: Ranking The Main Characters From Worst To Best

The son of Naomi Nagata and Marco Inaros, Filip is a conflicted and damaged young man who is heavily under the influence of his charismatic father. Resenting his mother for leaving him as a child, Filip has grown up bitter and possesses a cruel streak that Marco uses to his advantage.

Seeing his father as a great leader and icon, Filip is fully in support of the Free Navy and the Belter war that Marco has brought upon the Inners. His lack of remorse for the acts of terror he has helped commit has allowed for a fraught relationship with his mother once she returns to his life.

Filip could easily have become a stereotypically annoying teenager character when played opposite Naomi but thankfully he never quite reaches that level of irritation. His difficulty in dealing with his equal hatred and love he has for her are understandable so his behaviour is acceptable. That being said, it is fair to be nervous how much time is going to be dedicated to Naomi and Filip in the final season and hopefully they won't overdo it.
