The Falcon & The Winter Soldier: 10 Biggest Takeaways From Episode One
8. Bucky Is On A Collision Course With Zemo
As part of Bucky's therapy, he is now working his way through a list of names that were affected by his time as the Winter Soldier. Either they benefited from his position and power, or they suffered greatly at his hands, but either way, he is trying to make amends.
Attwood was a HYDRA pawn who was helped into office by Bucky, and continued to abuse that power long after the organisation came down. As part of his amends however, he gave intel to the authorities on her actions, and helped get her convicted.
He is also seemingly trying to make amends with Yori. He has befriended the old man and goes to lunch with him quite often, but is struggling to actually own up to murdering his son, giving him at least some form of closure.
Another name on the list is H. Zemo. The villain's manipulation of Barnes played a big part in Steve and Tony's falling out and the subsequent breaking up of the Avengers. It remains to be seen exactly what Bucky has in store for his enemy, whether he will take the vengeance or peaceful route, but it is likely to be a defining moment for him as a character either way.
