The Flash: 10 Characters Who Should Join Season 3

4. The Top

The Flash Black Racer
DC Comics

One of The Flash’s famed rogues who has yet to turn up in The CW’s Scarlet Speedster show is Roscoe Dillon, aka The Top.

In terms of his main abilities, The Top is able to spin fast enough to literally deflect bullets and attacks on him. He’s also a pretty smart fella, and so has managed to channel his powers and bizarre obsession with spinning tops into making a whole host of top-based weaponry and gadgets, not to mention certain depictions of the character have seen him given almost psionic powers.

In more recent years, as in the doomed New 52, comic books fans have seen a slightly different take on this rogue as Roscoe Hynes was known as Turbine. That version of this longstanding Flash villain left a little to be desired, and a more traditional take on Top would likely be a more sensible direction for the show to take should it decide to add Top to its ranks.

With the particle accelerator accident deemed responsible for giving so many people such unique abilities, The Flash could easily explain Roscoe Dillon as a career criminal who was turned into a meta-human.

That Top hasn't been used in The Flash so far has surprised many, and so surely it's about time that we get to see one of the Sultan of Speed's most well-known rogues on the small screen?
