The Flash: 10 Questions Season 7 MUST Answer
5. Does Carla Tannhauser Have Her Own Killer Frost?
You might recall how Season 5 saw the introduction of Caitlin Snow's father Thomas, and how that ultimately led to the discovery that he too had his inner ice demon in The Icicle. Following this, Icicle attempted to transform Caitlin's mother, Carla, into an ice monster so that the three of them could live icily ever after... in spite of the fact Killer Frost wanted no part of it. And even Team Flash was successful in rescuing her, a last-minute tease - in which the testing analysis turned white - indicated that she had been turned.
Though Carla was absent for most of the season, she did resurface in the closing moments when she took Frost away with her to help her heal up her injury - and, by the looks of things, began to form a relationship with her. This was planned as part of a storyline to temporarily write the pregnant Danielle Panabaker out of the show, but given everything that happened with the complete season shutdown, it may have been rendered unnecessary (because by the time production resumes, Panabaker may be ready to return).
All that being said, this relationship that was beginning to form between Carla and Frost could prove to be the gateway to the former's realisation that Thomas did create an ice being within her. Through Caitlin's experiences, we know that the Frosts within tend to remain dormant for a while - which Carla's presumably did all throughout Season 6. And thus, Season 7 should finally pull the trigger on this narrative and explore whether or not Killer Frost is about to officially get an ice mom.
