The Flash: 5 Stories Needed To Be Done Before The Series Ends

3. The Flash #125 "Conquerors Of Time!"

The TV series Flash needs to take the training wheels off of his time travelling.

Grant Gustin's Flash has been time travelling since season one, but not very far relatively speaking. Only as far back as his childhood and as far forward as ten years. Where are the fantastic eras of the far future that were so common in the comics? Or getting stuck in the past? Granted that TV budgets make such stories difficult, but the series should do it at least once to honor Flash mythology.

The Flash #125 would be a great story for the show to adapt into its own style. The basic premise is that the future Earth has been dominated by an alien species called the Dokris. They travelled to Earth's prehistoric past to eliminate any materials that would provide radioactive power for weapons in the future. Thus the future lacks nuclear weapons to defend themselves. The 1961 published story is very much a product of its time, but the core of the story would still serve the show well.

In the comic Barry calls in Kid Flash to fight the radioactive stealing aliens in the past, while Flash fights them in the future. The Dokris might be a little bit of a stretch for the show's budget, but the basic premise of a two fold temporal assault by Flash & Kid Flash would still easily be an epic episode even with a more modest antagonist.
