Earth-2's answer to the Reverse-Flash, Zoom terrorised us all throughout The Flash's second season, and there was once a time that we didn't believe dear old Hunter Zolomon, or 'Jay Garrick' as he was calling himself at that point, could ever be capable of such a thing. And that made the reveal all the more shocking.
A relentless individual who lived for speed, so much so that he sought to steal it from every single speedster in the multiverse, Zolomon was a desperate man who had no problem resorting to desperate measures. And although his affection for Caitlin proved that, underneath all that evil, there was a heart, it was clear that he was just too far gone for redemption.
It was hard to imagine anyone ever coming close to matching the villainous heights of the Reverse-Flash, but of all the show's Big Bads to follow him, it was Zoom who came the closest.
