The Flash: Ranking Every Major Death Worst To Best
8. Dr. Harrison Wells
If Nora Allen's death is the most important in Barry Allen's world, then the death of Harrison Wells is the most important in the world of the Flash. Eobard Thawne, aka the Reverse-Flash, famously killed Barry's mother, intending for it to be the catalyst that makes Barry the type of person who would become a hero. Unfortunately, he also had to kill someone else to make sure it all went according to plan.
It was a shock when fans learned early on that Wells was not who he said he was. But from that moment on, audiences were curious about what happened to the actual doctor. While we knew that it was not likely that Harrison could put up a fight against an evil speedster like Eobard, fans were still interested.
When viewers finally got to see these events unfold, they were left somewhat unsatisfied. Our brief introduction into the real Harrison Wells showed that he was a good man who was in love, but that's all we learn. Then we discover that the sole reason Dr. Wells died was that his experiments weren't moving fast enough for the Reverse-Flash.
As with other characters, especially ones so crucial to the Flash and the story, there is a desire for them to have a great ending, and Harrison deserved better. While we do get introduced to a number of Harrison Wells from other universes, it's still a missed opportunity not to give this character a proper send-off.
