The Flash Season 2: 11 Big Questions We're Asking After 'The Reverse-Flash Returns'
8. Is That Really The Last We'll See Of Patty?
So that's it, huh? Yep, my reaction to the apparent conclusion of the Patty/Barry story requires the help of Will Smith's Suicide Squad quote, because it's all just so underwhelming and frustrating. But whatever it is, it does genuinely seem to be over...for now. I've seen a lot of comments on Patty, and it does seem she's a character who has split the opinion of the fanbase. Personally I really liked her: she made for a good partner for Joe to play off, given the contrast between the two, and had great chemistry with Barry, and this could've been a really good coupling for the show. Instead she's on a train out of Central City, and out of Barry's life. Whatever your opinion of the character, that's a total waste, given the screentime dedicated to building their relationship.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
