The Flash Season 2: 11 Big Questions We're Asking After 'The Reverse-Flash Returns'
6. How Will Hunter Zolomon Fit In?
Well, that was unexpected. Caitlin begins the search for Jay's doppelgänger - which is something I'd wondered about before now - and it turns out that Jay Garrick does not exist on Earth One. But everyone has a doppelgänger, right? Jay has done this research already, and it transpires that the Earth One version of him is a man named Hunter Zolomon. For anyone not familiar with the comics, that name might not have meant anything, although just the fact they've given him a different name means something significant. Going into the comics though, Hunter Zolomon is a name with plenty of significance, especially related to this season of The Flash. Why? Because he's the man who becomes the villain Zoom. However, it's massively unlikely that this man is actually Zoom, given he's from Earth One, so does that mean it's just an Easter egg? Or could this be trying to get viewers to think Jay is actually Zoom, however that would work? What other part could Zolomon have to play in things? Hopefully they come back to this, and it's not just a reference thrown in there for fun.

A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
