The Flash Season 3: 8 Ways Flashpoint Will Change The Show

3. Earth-1 Caitlin Is Killer Frost?

The Flash Flashpoint Changes

The villainous Earth-2 doppelgänger of Caitlin Snow, getting to see Killer Frost on the show last year was pretty cool.

Danielle Panabaker is the one member of the main cast who felt really sidelined last year, with her story not much more than being a love interest for not-Jay Garrick. They had a chance to dive deeper into the PTSD side of things after that, but never went any deeper than the surface with it. So her getting to play Killer Frost was a chance to cut loose and have some fun, and ended up being a strong arc as well.

While it looked like we had seen the end of the character, it seems there may be a way of bringing her back. Kevin Smith is returning to direct another episode this year, and the title has been revealed as... Killer Frost. Does this mean the Earth-2 version returns? That Earth-1 Caitlin becomes her? That someone else on Earth-1 is Killer Frost? Or is it just a total tease and doesn't actually involve the character?

If they wanted Earth-1 Caitlin to become Killer Frost - and it'd be a fun path to walk down, albeit an icy one - then Flashpoint is a way to do it. Of course, there's been a lot of talk Flashpoint will only last a couple of episodes, which would make Smith's too late (he's directing episode 7), but since the effects will linger this could be yet another cause of Barry's actions.
