The Flash Season 3 Finale: 8 Big Questions We're Asking After 'Finish Line'
5. Will Iris Taking A Life Have Repercussions?
During the big final showdown, Barry (pretty stupidly, actually) turns his back on Savitar, leaving himself open to attack. From out of nowhere, there's a gunshot and it is revealed that Iris has killed the villain, moments before he vanishes from existence.
This is a pretty big moment for Iris, who has never taken a life before. Not to mention the fact that it was a copy of her fiance. So will she have to deal with the after effects of this next season? It could happen, in order to flesh out Iris's character a bit more and to give Candice Patton some meat to chew on as an actor.
On the other hand, the episode frames the event in such a way as to suggest it won't be a big deal. For one, Savitar is already a dead man walking and disappears moments after Iris shoots him. Likewise, the moment is portrayed as a moment of triumph, as it sees Iris stepping up to protect Barry rather than being the damsel in distress she has been presented as for the last half-season.
I could be wrong about this, but do have a feeling this moment will be swept under the carpet going forward.
