The Flash Season 5: 4 Ups & 1 Down From 'All Doll'd Up'

1. Not All Heroes Are Speedsters

The Flash Barry And Iris
The CW

Since Nora's arrival in the present, she has been particularly cold towards her mother Iris, eventually revealing that, in the future, the beloved reporter has a power-dampening chip installed in her daughter in an attempt to hide her powers from her. While Iris couldn't comprehend why she would contemplate such a thing, Barry fully supported her future decision - shocking Nora.

While an intervention from Cecile helped the time-travelling daughter realise that Iris wasn't all that bad, that didn't change the fact that her mother still took it to heart - terrified of becoming cold and distant. However, Iris ultimately proved herself (like there was ever any doubt), when she jumped off a building to save Barry, unlocking his power-dampening cuffs in mid-air - an act that allowed Nora to see just how amazing her mother actually was.

After all this time, Nora West-Allen has stopped seeing Iris for who she was suppose to become, and finally sees her for what we always saw her as - a hero. The crafty reporter's actions proved that she is every bit as integral to the show as its masked vigilantes, and she didn't even need super-speed to do it.

The West-Allen family is at the heart of The Flash, and it's going to be nothing short of wonderful to see this mother and daughter finally get the chance to bond right before our eyes.

And now on to the negatives...
