The Flash Season 6: 7 Theories On The Identity Of The New Big Bad

2. The Red Death

One of the more recent additions to the pages of DC Comics, the Red Death may be the most terrifying villain to ever grace the multiverse with his presence.

A twisted amalgamation of both Batman and The Flash, this demonic monster came to be when the former was driven mad by all the death that surrounded him and concluded that the only way to save his world was to murder all of his villains - but to do that, he needed to steal The Flash's speed. And after a battle between the two allies, that's exactly what he did - strapping the Scarlet Speedster to his Batmobile as he drove it into the Speed Force, ultimately merging the two heroes together.

From his comic history alone, it's clear that Red Death has all the tools to be a worthy antagonist in the show's sixth season. That being said, he never felt like a possibility because the Arrowverse had to steer clear from Bruce Wayne and Batman at virtually all costs. Last season, however, changed that.

What makes the Red Death all the more likely as a future villain is the fact that he was actually referenced by name last season. In 'Memorabilia', Barry and Iris made their way into Nora's memories (their future), and saw a report from an aged Captain Singh - who confirmed that the Red Death and The Flash eventually do battle.

Moreover, Batwoman's debut confirmed that Batman is a part of the Arrowverse, but it also confirmed that he's been missing for three years. With that in mind, could he eventually return and attempt to steal Barry's speed in a twisted bid to redeem himself for abandoning Gotham?
